The women of Knox United Church have a long history of supporting the work of the congregation and missionary outreach starting formally in 1876.
In 1962, the two organizations, “The Women’s Missionary Society” with primary interest in missionary outreach, and the “Women’s Association” with primary interest in local activities, were combined to become the “United Church Women” with its aim being “to unite all the women of the church in the total task of outreach and local assistance in these rapidly changing times”.
