LOVING OUR SENIORS
The next event will be on Thursday, February 14 (Valentine's Day) @ 1:00 pm when we will mark the one year anniversary of Loving Our Senior's Program. Following a brief conversation and evaluation of the program, we will watch the movie, The Help starting at 1:30 sharp.
The Help is an inspirational, courageous and empowering story about very different, extraordinary women in the 1960's South who build an unlikely friendship around a secret writing project – one that breaks society's rules and puts them all at risk. It is well worth seeing again.
PARENTING TEENAGERS COURSE
Parents or caregivers of teenagers (11 & up) are welcome to attend the course which has valuable suggestions and practical skills. The sessions will be held from 6:30 to 9 pm Friday evenings beginning March 8. The evenings will begin with supper followed by video talks and discussions. The program is free and child care is provided.
