Rev. Rob Selby

 Rob has over 30 years experience in ministry and the business world. He was ordained in the Baptist Convention of Ontario & Quebec in 1982.

He spent quite a few years in the business world and entered student ministry in The United Church of Canada in 2006. In 2008 The United Church of Canada recognized his ordination.

Rob served the Baptist Church in Quebec, in Chicago, USA, and in Ontario from 1977 to 1986, and worked with Scouts Canada as Director of Camping for 19 years from 1987 to 2006. He entered ministry again in the early 2000’s and completing his internship at St. James Rosemount United Church in Kitchener, Ontario where he continued to serve until 2008. He completed a special non-degree program at Emmanuel College, University of Toronto that same year, and was settled as full-time Minister of Word, Sacrament and Pastoral Care at Claremont United Church in 2008.

Rob’s “ministry objective” is: To be in team ministry in a program-sized congregation, focusing on new possibilities and directions of ministry which enrich the spiritual life of the membership through recruiting, equipping, and inspiring lay leadership. Rob enjoys cycling, travel, reading, home repair and antique automobiles.
